Eugene M. Nye was born on August 18, 1920, in Livingston, Montana. He was an organist of repute, and was Head of the Organ Department at Pacific College of Newberg, Oregon. He was also a professional organ builder and serviceman, and in 1960 became Tonal Director for Balcom & Vaughan Pipe Organs in Seattle, Washington.
